proud mothers my miracle baby

Joanna is the founder of Singapore lactation bakes at http://www.slb.sg.

She is also a proud mother of two beautiful girls.

Singapore lactation bakes was started out of necessity as Joanna was a slow and low yielder on breastmilk. With not a satisfactory breastfeeding journey for her first daughter, Joanna is determined to succeed with her second daughter on supplying enough breastmilk for her new baby. Despite having tried a multitude of different methods to increase her milk yield, she was having not much result. Until some of her mummies friends shared with her on lactation cookies but lactation cookies are costly. Thus, she decided to do a bit of research and see if she could bake them for herself. To her surprise, her milk supply was increased and consistent upon consuming her own bakes........ and the rest is history...

What is the hardest transition from working out of home or holding a full time job to working from home with your two girls?
The income is not as good as when I was having a full time job and I have to choose to slow down when my hands are full with my girls at times.
What is your vision for Singapore Lactation Bakes?
I sincerely hope that my own personal experiences can help inspire other mummies to persevere on in their own breastfeeding endeavours and starts to create or involve in something they love.
What is the best thing about being a mother to two beautiful girls?
I really enjoy dressing them up!
How do you distress yourself with all the demands from your baking business and your girls?
I bake more! Ha ha but not lactation related. I usually bake with my girls as I feel that baking together is a great bonding activity. It also help them to understand why mommy has to stay in the kitchen for so long to bake!
What advice do you have for mothers who want to start her own business?
It seems hard at first but don't give up! Have realistic expectation on yourself or the business.
